I’m hoping/thinking that since it’s the 60s, we’re supposed to see these teachers as taking IQ seriously but be skeptical ourselves? Maybe that’s too charitable

I see that Alan Taylor directed 3 of the final 8 eps of the Sopranos, so that's hopeful. If someone other than Chase had to direct, the guy who did Kennedy and Heidi and Blue Comet would prob be my choice.

hey does not fade away hold up at all?
I look at bluegrass music as this sort of glowing ball. The point is to relax the technique around the glowing ball of feeling.

Yeah lol
I honestly just assumed he was a dummy who sucked at school

yea the show portrays him as overly sensitive and maybe somewhat intelligent but that's mainly cos he's surrounded by the dumbest people on earth

tony's extremely smart in the show, he just has a low level of education. he's the most perceptive person depicted, understands new concepts quickly, and applies them. ofc "high iq" is on the nose but it's not like it's out of line with the characterization

people shocked that HBO would lean on the mafia stuff or constantly have characters saying the words "tony soprano" as if the original show was mostly advertised with snippets of meadow playing scrabble or paulie talking to his mom.

I mean, between the MZS tweet and that title don-don, I wouldn't be shocked if Young Tony is more of an audience surrogate in a story about Dickie, and that the trailer's emphasis on Tony is kind of a misdirect.
