i love this movie except the miracle max scene which imo sucks shit

I read the book as a kid and loved it. I thought the movie missed the tone by a mile. Everything was so corny and handled badly. The acting is atrocious too. Movie sucks.
Now here is the lake. And I still haven't changed.

JFK is a staggering work

Everyone at the top of their respective games—almost every actor turns in arguably a career-best performance. You can hear the genesis of Nedry’s theme in here too; Williams at his absolute creative zenith. Donald Sutherland gives the greatest expo dump in cinema history. The quiet, rushed delivery with the subtle grin…fuck, this movie is amazing.

when we watched The Princess Bride (1987) this year in the search for child appropriate movies that we hadn't watched already I was surprised to find I didn't hate it at all like I thought but there's no way it's perfect because Billy Crystal is in it
