Aretha Franklin – Bridge Over Troubled Water
T. Rex – Mambo Sun
Jim Pepper - Witchi-Tai-To

Marvin Gaye – What’s Going On
Big Star – Thirteen

Novos Baianos – Preta Pretinha [3'23 version but they're both great]
The Staple Singers – I’ll Take You There
Luther Ingram – (If Loving You is Wrong) I Don’t Want to be Right
Al Green – Let’s Stay Together
Lou Reed – Walk on the Wild Side
David Bowie - Time
Gladys Knight & the Pips - Midnight Train to Georgia
The Main Ingredient – Just Don’t Want to be Lonely
Labi Siffre – Down
Paul Simon – 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover

Diana Ross – Love Hangover
Television - Marquee Moon
Tatsuro Yamashita – Paper Doll
Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
The Police – So Lonely
Bill Withers – Just the Two of Us
Joubert Singers – Stand on the Word [4'44 version, the so-called 'Larry Levan mix']
Pixies - Hey
Modest Mouse – Truckers Atlas
Radiohead – Lucky

Air – La Femme d’Argent
Built to Spill - Else
Daft Punk - Digital Love
Wolf Parade – Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts [EP version]
Destroyer – Watercolours into the Ocean
Joanna Newsom – Emily
Justice – D.A.N.C.E.
Vampire Weekend - Hannah Hunt
Sharon Von Etten – Our Love
Big Thief – Paul

Here’s the breakdown by decade:
1960s: 28%
1970s: 42%
1980s: 6%
1990s: 8%
2000s: 10%
2010s: 6%

I uploaded this playlist here.

Thank you laserblast for doing this. I don’t really know how you go about compiling results but I’d be happy to help if I can.

I really appreciate how some of these songs have been from some of my favourite albums but far from my favourites on them ('Brand New Day', 'Phenomenal Cat'). mostly makes me want to listen to those albums again, always a pleasure

Never heard of Ofege but I'm really digging this. There's another song with a really similar feel/chord progression to these two but I can't quite get to it.

Ahhhh duh thank you! I can still hear more of a Flower Travelling Band vibe in my head but it's possible I've just heard them or a similar band riffing on the same ideas.
