this summer we had 9 days straight of 100°F+ temps and it sucked for the environment and anyone without a cooling station or a/c but i selfishly loved it

it's important to note there was very little humidity at this time

Basically all of coastal California.

Really the pacific coast in general as long as it's near a major water source.

but it probably sucks everywhere, so at least we get dry winters with sunny skies.

Yeah this describes ABQ too, but bump everything up 10 degrees.

And also Phoenix, but bump that up another 12-15.

Yeah I'd consider a freezing cold winter to be like Winnipeg, Edmonton or Calgary not Toronto. Winnipeg has some awful weather.

I now realise how subjective/relative option B is but I'm from a place where it would be unusual for the temperature to drop below -2C in the winter and a typical summer day would generally be in the low 20s and I suppose I just meant significantly colder/warmer than that. sorry!

winnipeg seems like it gets hotter (muggy) in general in the summer than edmonton or calgary, and much colder in the winter (-40ish for two week periods) in the winter due to its position in the centre (ish) of the continent

The only thing I can find about bog bodies in North America are some in Florida but I don't see why you couldn't do it in Manitoba or Northern Ontario:
