putting a disclaimer on something is just going to make someone want to do it more, have you ever met someone in their early to mid 20s?

Anyways I just deadlifted 420 with one arm and I'm fine

working out really doesn't require anything bizarre/innovative it's like people can't handle that all it needs to be is some compound lifts

i'm just doing 5x5 again because i'm not in there to stimulate my mind

Yeah, I did a deload last week and just have no desire to lift anything remotely heavy atm. Might do another light week.
It's weird because I seldom go heavy anyway and only go 3-4x a week.

okay no more bad disclaimer jokes.

here's a not crazy hard but still challenging workout I've been doing to shed pounds, more cardio based so weight is lighter and everything is brief

i did 5 rounds of this, not the exact order:

row 2 min
stairclimb 8 floors
15-20 kettlebell swings, i used a 16kg
rope pulling machine 1 min
v sit
battle ropes to failure
hollow body

farmer's walks, just 2 30 lb dumbells, walk 100 to 150 feet

treadmill run 0.25 mile, speed 7, incline 2.5
wall balls
spin bike moderate resistance all standing 3 minutes

weighted jump rope 3 min
treadmill incline walk 5 min, incline changes between 10-14, speed changes between 2.8-3.4

planks, regular and side
shadowboxing with 5-8lb dumbbells

Yeah I've had success with IF over the years. I'm doing that now too but not on gym days because I usually go after work around 10p and go til midnight 3-4x a week and I don't want to wait til like 6p the next day to eat. I still don't eat anything before noon daily now

Liss cardio like riding a bike for 30-60 min is good but i get bored too easily doing the same thing and rather be moving around

I'm probably going to start doing one day on one day off and continuing with workouts that burn a lot of cals. Been having pretty good results. Can keep going fairly hard since I can rest the next day

Last night I did an hour circuit of the following:

Tire Flips
Nordic Ski Machine
Knee raises on power tower
Airdyne bike
Rowing
Wall Balls
Farmer's Walks
Kettlebell Swings
Battle ropes

Also did some high rep, low weight, low rest upper body weights

haven't gone to the gym in 4 days, last time i went i felt a bit weak and just did light weight and only used machines.

feeling pretty good right now though, think I'm going to try to tackle 3 rounds of the following circuit I just wrote up, not in any order:

2m = two minutes

2m row machine
2m high incline treadmill walks
2m jump roping with occasional 10 second breaks

2m plank
2m stair climber
2m battle ropes

2m farmer's walks, lighter weight

2m wall sits with occasional 10 second breaks

2m wall balls with occasional 10 second breaks

2m interval sprints on spin bike

Then I'll probably do a few sets of light weight deadlifts, bench, and arm isolation work.

I'm getting on testosterone today (from a doctor, for legit reasons) which means my clean lifetime bests are:

Squat: 505
Bench: 345x2
Deadlift: 585
Press: 250

I gotta not post a workout til after I do it because I didn't end up doing any of that last night. Work got done later than usual and I didn't have the tony ferguson cardio in me at that point to attempt it, it's nothing different than what I've done in the past though. Ended up doing over 90min of mostly full body weights, lots of super sets and minimal rest, had to get that cardio in somehow

Started late again last night and was a little tired and didn't feel like changing out of my street shorts so movement was slightly limited, did the following:

shadowboxing with the silver 12lb dumbbells

doing indian club like rotations with the silver 12lb dumbbells

core work - crunches with kettlebell, hollow body, ab machine, v sits

dumbbell complex of side raises, upright rows, curls, tricep extensions, and shoulder press

wall and slam balls

leg press - lighter weight

farmer's walks, further distances, lighter weight than usual

treadmill high incline walks

dicking around on trx

10 min of upper body cable work

Played softball as a sub Thursday. 2 weeks ago was my first time playing since I was 20 years old, 13 years ago.

It was a double header and I pulled both of my quads running on my very first at bat.

Was still a ton of fun. I'm trying to go to the batting cages today to sharpen up.

Volleyball playoffs start next week too. Both it and softball are lightly competitive beer leagues but it's still great to get out and compete and meet new people. In the awful midwest Winter volleyball especially keeps me sane during the week.

Anyone else here play adult team sports still? I know LOD plays roller hockey which I bet is fun as hell.
