Elevation with Kingston on commentary is a perfectly good wrestling show.

Tony/Paul with no Eddie is still rough

I know the WWE has a proven track record of missing on can't miss prospects but even with the dumb create-a-name it's hard to believe they can whiff on Rick Steiner's son/Scott Steiner's nephew

Part of me feels like if he'd been allowed to be Rex Steiner, I'd have watched and been into it and excited. Something about the name just reminds me too heavily of it being WWE and all the dumb stuff that entails

I am very excited for Grand Slam tonight though. It really is a PPV level show in 2 parts. If the ratings aren't amazing tonight it's going to really indicate that the only thing that draws for them are surprises, which would be a bad sign, seemingly? But I think it's gonna be a big rating and a fun show.

God awful name. He seems like he has potential but being saddled with that terrible name makes it feel like dead on arrival character for me.

One of the reliable Twitter newsbreakers (Andrew Zarian) teased a secondary women's title, which looks like it may be called... the TBS Title.

Which... I'm okay with it, I think. It'll be good to have to feature more women with, without them having to unseat Britt (and maybe Rosa, eventually) any time soon.

They could definitely have a banger title tournament with Shida, Statlander, Riho, Ruby, Tay, Leyla, Deeb etc.

It seems, actually, that they basically prototyped it with the NWA title crossover, which kinda ruled, esp when Deeb had it and was defending in good matches.

Makes the pretty commonly predicted Omega/Bryan draw finish much more likely, I think.

Also puts a Ruby win on the table, which I wasn't expecting before this announcement

The Accountant, a Ben Affleck movie that TNT is perpetually playing before AEW (it's almost always that, The Meg or The Equalizer) trended on Twitter because everyone was tweeting about seeing the final few minutes before Dynamite again.

I have a feeling this show is doing a huge rating.

Being stuck as the American Nightmare is still an improvement over his pre-aew days, but good point by tweet

Weirdly paced show, all considered but also... everything was good and PPV quality. Hope they don't lose a ton of viewers for the main event though

lol I'm a dumbass and confused the extra Rampage hour with an extra Dynamite hour so it wouldn't have mattered anyway

tweet has been deleted, but these two tweets below kinda sum it up for me. I don't think Cody is bad, he's done better than I ever thought he would when he first went to the indies and had average matches against even people like Chris Hero, and some of the takes about Cody recently have been absurd......but yeah he doesn't really need to be on AEW at the moment either. Tonight, they didn't seem to be much difference between Cody and Pillman Jr, solid wrestlers who are doing the job for opponents who are going onto bigger and better things, and in matches that could have had some minutes cut from them.

I do hope it'll be a tag belt. A lot of the women's matches on all the shows are singles and that's nice, but it's a bit hard to get over doing solidly worked, face vs heel TV matches that get interrupted by the ad break. Give them a chance to get their shit in

Andrew Zarian confirmed he'd heard TBS Title singles women's title on Denise Salcedo's post show

yeah Kenny O's been rocking a poor man's Lemmy for a few months now

would love an AEW women's tag belt if only for how much it increases the odds of the ex-iiconics turning up

I thought I had stuff going on Thursday but it got cancelled so I got to have some beers and watch this PPV style

all of this was great. really appreaciate 58769 posting the preview cause like I wasn't expecting to watch more than a minute but it got me way hyped and I had a great night

my partner was gonna crash out before I started Dynamite but they decided to stay up for Omega/Bryan and like it's a really cool thing whenever you hang with someone who's only peripherally into wrestling and watch the investment of seeing someone outside of it all get really invested in a really great match. Can't say enough how awesome it is to be living through a new golden age of wrestling that I get to watch week to week
