He also made a really pointed criticism of Jay Lethal and claimed him as the only black star ROH was ever willing to push, saying he was an Uncle Tom. Between that and Taylor Hendrix saying he propositioned her and then got her fired when she refused a year or so back, Jay Lethal feels like one of those guys who might have some skeletons yet to be unearthed.

In other news: Dynamite did more viewers this week than Smackdown. Lots of variables in play, biggest being that Smackdown was moved to FS1 and was against night 2 of the NBA and the second game of the World Series, but still...

The WWE roster is delayed in its return from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, following a historic performance at yesterday’s record-breaking WWE Crown Jewel event.

More than 175 Superstars, production crew and employees boarded a 747 charter flight back to the United States on Thursday. After the door closed, due to several aircraft problems including mechanical issues, all passengers sat on the tarmac for more than six hours. With SmackDown set to emanate live from Buffalo, N.Y., several Superstars felt so strongly that they arranged for their own separate charter in order to make it back to the U.S. for the show. Due to unforeseen issues, that charter will not land until after the live broadcast on FOX.

As always with WWE, the show must go on. Live at 8/7 CT on FOX, SmackDown will feature Superstars, such as Daniel Bryan, The Miz, Carmella, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke — plus, additional surprises.

not surprising. maybe I am missing something but I think fans online are better at promoting NJPW in english language spaces than NJPW is.

I really believe AEW is going to force their hand in that regard eventually. You've got a company that is giving it's all to entertain the fans with a conglomerate of many of the best at doing that--creatively, workrate and promo wise. Seems likely they tap into a real zeitgeist with fans. I mean, look how many eyes Omega's videogame cosplay got on it. I'm hoping the dam breaks open and there's a true cultural renaissance for wrestling. And of course when that happens VKM will piggyback off it just like he did with ECW in creating the attitude era. Or maybe he is just sitting on so much money these days that he truly doesn't give a fuck.
