Looking over the Rumble card and it looks pretty great, actually. Haven't kept up to say the least, but have they really pushed Black on a level to where they'd give him this position? Admittedly it definitely looks like the freshest match for Brock and I'd be into it. I really don't see any other fresh options, so I guess it's possible? I could maybe even see them having Brock eliminating, like, half the entrants tonight and then taking it easy until it gets down to the last few and actually winning? Probably a stretch since he's used to working 8-10 minute matches, but they could pull it off with some creative booking and then have Heyman brag about it until some challenger comes along and they book an angle to set up the Mania match. Unlikely scenario but who knows. Isn't it likely that the winner will challenge for the other title anyways? This actually does look like an excellent card and it's got me looking forward to it to some degree. Happy to see Sheamus back.

Just realized Edge may very well return tonight despite adamantly denying he'll step back in the ring. Him at 30 would be one of the all-time pops in wrestling history.

Feel like they're going to go with Roman winning tonight and have him challenge the fiend. And maybe Brock being eliminated by Cain to extend that into Mania? Rumble is always fun so i'm pretty excited. I'd mark out hard for a cm punk return, edge would be cool too i guess.

Honestly feel like Punk at number two after Lesnar's entrance would be the biggest pop in the history of the company outside of a few Austin/Rock moments.

in my experience, you'll at least need a new email but they are too lazy to check anything else so you can use the same card and address and everything.

He's one of the 3-4 most pushed guys on Raw right now, I'd say. It'd be an elevation, for sure but him or McIntyre are the two active guys most likely to win the Rumble, I think.

I really think that for whatever reason Edge would probably out pop him at this point.

Edge has been strongly rumored, Punk really hasn't. I think the vague, if unexpected anticipation would fuel Edge to a huge pop and I think a Punk pop would be a surprise pop, maybe even diminished by the 'wtf' factor of it

It would be diminished personally for me because he left the industry and has expressed he legit had no love for it any longer. I feel like he'd only do it for the wrong reasons at this point. Edge was 100% forced to retire due to injury while he still had a tremendous love for his job. Not saying Punk had no reason to be cynical or remove himself from the business, but I really have no desire to see him wrestle again at this point. One of the most over guys ever so VKM might give him that Mania main event one day if either of them reaches out. A returning Punk vs a returning Cena headlining Mania is probably the biggest match that could happen, but that's getting to be way out there fantasy booking territory.

i'm not sure i agree. Punk was upset because he was working a ridiculous schedule while hurt, and he felt that despite that, the company wasn't rewarding how over he had gotten through his own talent. i think his remark about not loving it anymore has to be understood in that context. i could very easily see him agreeing to something if he were able to work out some kind of limited appearance reduced schedule thing the way Brock and Goldberg did. which he might indeed be able to do given how much his value has gone up, and how AEW has pushed Vince. and Vince would of course do it if the price was right. i guess i'm being a mark here, but to me the fact that Punk left on his own terms for those reasons is what would make a return by him that much more compelling than the usual wrestler return.

Corbin is a master level heel. They just need to stop pairing him against Roman.
