As much as I loved the match. Adam Cole has a dang stable and is a heel champion. Maybe they should have been involved in the finish?

Would have absolutely dimished the entire match for me to a significant degree. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Bryan insisted on putting Cole over clean.

i hope this is what happened because i love db but a clean finish put all of nxt over and that's what you wanna do with an invasion angle. not every finish involving a heel in a stable has to be straight out of the jim crockett promotions playbook.

Oh yeah, I have a new wrestling podcast. It’s called World Wrestling Fantasia, and it’s like fantasy drafting/booking, nostalgia tripping etc. no reviews or analytics or that boring shit. First episode, me and a buddy drafted our ultimate Halloween Havoc cards

https://worldwrestlingfantasia.podiant.co/
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/w ... 1485077001

I even edited video together to watch the cards as we intended: https://twitter.com/wwfantasia/status/1 ... 18049?s=21

Friend has challenged me to find a match that ends in under two minutes that isnt a squash and says one doesn't exist.

depends on what you are defining as squash

loser gets nothing in?

winner made to look overwhelmingly strong?

can think of a few sub-2 min exceptions to each but maybe not both

KENTA vs Sugiura from Global League 2011 is 2.08 according to cagematch, but there's a short one.

Hiromu Takahashi vs KUSHIDA for the IWGP junior title is another good one at 1.56.

edit: and there's a bunch of sub-2 minute Toru Yano matches. Wins and losses to Ibushi and Tanahashi for example. Actually, any guy with a flash pin or submission must have some of these short matches, just to get the gimmick over. Or in Yano's case, to give an opponent the day off during a tournament.

Cody's promo was absolutely incredible! This Omega/Moxley build has been really great too. That should be one hell of a spectacle (give me blood). They've really had a very competent and entertaining build to Full Gear, on the whole. Hope they keep picking up steam.

Cody is maybe the best pure babyface in the world today. Turning him heel would be an enormous mistake.

That said, we have simmering MJF and Hangman turns brewing.

Plus Cody essentially promised Elite vs Inner Circle Wargames in that promo. I could see there being an angle about who the Elite's final man will be and Dustin being chosen over Page and MJF, leading to both turning?

well that's the fun thing: we know what WWE and it's creative philosophy would do in this situation. We don't yet know what AEW's is, so we don't know what they're going to do.

I think Jericho's more valuable as the ambassador to American pop culture (since AEW does have to overcome WWE basically being the Generic Trademark for Wrestling in America for all this time) and even though Cody's in a totally different situation than Jeff Jarrett I think they might think putting the belt on the part-owner on the first big show sends a bad message that it's just TNA all over again.

It'll be fun to find out what they think/what they want to train people to expect from them via this show.
