it is really impressive how much they fucked up the launch of ping. for a minute i was excited about it, thinking it would be like the last.fm that my friends actually used, but instead it's just a fucking landing page asking you to follow jack johnson's second hand twitter feed. i do like how it defined my musical taste based on itunes exclusives that came out before they went non-drm. if you're feeling sinister live at the barbican is of course my #1 album of all time

I might go Coinstar some iTunes money and see how it works. I'm afraid of official MP3s. What if they don't copy as easily?

Is mine itumes broken or did they change the font for it on windows.

it's looks horrible.

One kind of neat thing they added is: if you click on the now playing art work(that can brought up by the button beside the repeat at the bottom) the album artwork comes up as a separate window with playback controls.

http://www.9to5mac.com/27015/airplay-is ... v-strategy

AppleTV is a Airplay-compatible device, meaning it can stream video/sound from other Apple devices. We found out last night that it isn’t just iTunes content that it will be able to broadcast. Any H.264 content from the web can be broadcast over Airplay to your HDTV.

That includes any video that can play on your iOS 4.2 device, like: Facebook video, YouTube, Netflix, Videos, BBC News, MLB and really anything else you can watch on your iOS device. That also includes videos built into Apps and magazine subscriptions too. All of this can be beamed to your AppleTV via Airplay.

....

That means you can watch most Internet video on AppleTV over AirPlay. The day AppleTV is released, you’ll be able to watch free SD clips of shows that appear on ComedyCentral.com like the Daily Show and Colbert Report via Airplay. You theoretially should be able to watch Hulu Plus so long as it is encoded in H.264 (and doesn’t get blocked once the networks figure out what Apple has done here).

So basically you can use your iPhone or iPad to browse and find a video you want to play, and then stream it right to your TV

I really doubt it, but that's just a guess.

does anyone have any guesses as to why it takes my iTunes a good 5 minutes to load up while a status bar reads "updating itunes library" ?
so we are having various hot beverages together in the moments we can see eachother.
