the windows in the sears tower have a really bad history with big temperature drop + high winds. they blow out and it snows glass shard flakes, you can catch them on your tongue.

yeah, I was pessimistic because I've never heard claims like these bandied around a thunderstorm

hurricanes yeah, but a thunderstorm?! definitely sounds like bs

Jerry Taft on WGN didn't seem completely convinced reading all of the records this storm is supposed to break on the noon news today, I'm assuming it will be just a really bad, annoyingly-timed storm......or armageddon

It is not often you see storms exploding like they are in Missouri right now in late October unless the system is pretty powerful. Not saying it is going to be record breaking but it should be pretty vicious

im just sitting on my balcony smoking pot trying to read my book

going to be a fun few hours. people on the street are starting to panic a little. some lady got a traffic hurdle stuck underneath her car and when she got it unstuck she set it upright in the middle of my street for some reason

i'd move it but it'll blow away soon anyway. we all will

depends how bad the storm gets. if it gets real ugly then i figure i have basically homesteaded this cat's life.

if the storm doesn't pick up then i guess i kind of stole him. i'll probably leave him in the upstairs hallway
