It’s a very strange album. It might be very bad but first listen was intriguing. I don’t know what to think

Calling it very strange might be giving it a bit much credit. There’s nothing here. The lyrics are so bad

What it lacks is part of its strangeness. It’s an odd mix of competence and incompetence

i'm not mad at it. sounds like a natural continuation of the tunes he was writing for Suspiria/Motherless Brooklyn.

the dumb hair ruffle things was more than enough
SNL is garbage and is cancelled for their even worse encouragement of fascism

I don't really pay attention to late night at all so I don't get the "it's up to late night hosts to stop bad presidential candidates" screed. Fallon isn't any better/worse than Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel. None of these late night hosts actually care about this shit. The people most responsible for Trump winning the election are Sarah Palin and Steve Bannon.

Jimmy Fallon sucks shit, but I am glad Thom played us a new song.

Song is OK but I really do like the dry vocals and dishevelled look Initially I was getting Robert Wyatt vibes but the chorus sorta goes back to rote show tuneyness I'd love a Thom album in the production style of Rock Bottom rather than bleepy bloops

Tomorrow's stream is the legendary Bonnaroo 2006 show!
This week something new: we've tracked down the original desk audio for our @bonnaroo show. Filmed in 2006 in Tennessee it's easily, comfortably, the best festival experience I've ever had in America. I hope the heat, dust, and smell of fine Southern whiskey comes over as well as the songs - and I hope that we get back to live music soon. - Jonny
It's comforting to think that somewhere unfathomably far away incomprehensible beings are possibly having some kind of subjective experience of a world that possibly observes basically the same laws as our own
