I was listening to fitter happier and I guess I'm at a reasonably content and comfortable point in my life and so many of the lyrics had me checking a box in my head :|

I guess that's the idea though
My listening experience in balanced mode reveals the great depth of EARTH

i asked this once before, but did anyone actually receive their tickets for thom's north american dates? every time they reschedule they say existing tickets will be honored, but i never got any, and i'm about to move for the second time since i ordered mine a year ago. i doubt the shows will take place before 2022, but i don't want to get screwed for having moved.

I got absolutely zero “retail therapy” emotional boost and it absolutely confirmed that buying things is an empty and reflexive genuflection to a hyper consumerist capitalist system that has indoctrinated me.

So I guess we're not gonna get an OKNOTOK style release for Kid A's 20th anniversary?
What became of her? She lived, as she liked to say, off the kindness of gentlemen. I assume she’s dead.

there was an interview about a year ago or maybe less (possibly during the Anima press cycle) where Thom talked about coming across all these old Kid A recording sessions, demos, etc. He mentioned that there was a huge amount of material and it would take a long time to go through so I definitely think we will be getting an awesome re-release, but they probably just couldn't get the timing right to coincide with the 20th anniversary.

i would also be down for them to utilize their "library" with ongoing uploads as they start reviewing all the old material, with an official expanded ediction release down the road...

from a recent interview with Ed:

‘Will you guys be doing anything to mark 20 years of ‘Kid A’ and Amnesiac’ this year and next?

“Due to the nature of it, I can’t fully reveal anything – but there have been talks about ways of doing something. Everything gets thrown up in the air with coronavirus, so a lot of ideas are being mooted. It would be nice to honour it, but then there’s the struggle – how can you get that excited about an album that came out 20 years ago? I can’t. I’m thankful it was a moment and know that it means a lot to people, but it was a long time ago.”’

not that I have any business caring about an aging rocker's life but it's fucking weird that he married his GF and not the mother of his two children he was with for nearly two decades back when she was alive. like wtf must his kids think about this
