I actually think RHCP is one of the best choices they coulda gone with. I’m open to hearing people who are enthusiastic about their better work and I am excited to hear Scott’s disgust at their low points

The one redeeming part of this is maybe a return of the Peppermen

Best pick, I hate U2 and loved the podcast. Peps are so bad and have so many corny moments it will be hilarious to hear their reactions

yeah radiohead is great but they'd be insanely boring to talk about in the context of this podcast.

talking heads would have been a lot of fun. wish they went that way but i'll take something like the laughable content of the hot chili peppers.

Yea. although if they did Talking Heads next it would follow a pattern for me of hate/love/hate/love.

(I'm not even sure if this is the line but) I think about "tell me Lord what the Peppermen say" and laugh out loud like once a week

Listened to the first pod and hoooooooly shit are the first two albums bad. sounds like a band that would've headlined the Kumite halftime show.

Rereading Jared Fogelnest's top comment on the video consistently brings me joy as well.

i truly cannot take john hodgman doughboys guest eps. the forced ribbing is embarrassing to witness.

it would be cool if he fucked off from comedy podcasts forever along with john hamm and a few others

to jon daly's credit, at least he isn't even really trying to be funny anymore on most of these things

I had to turn off the newest doughboys when Hodgman when he tried explaining the podcast to the other guest. He’s such a fucking dork.

Not sure what else to do with this uselessness stuck in my head, but coincidence that the four Earwolf music podcasts have all been of bands that did the Simpsons? Maybe Scott has done others besides Phish, U2, REM, and RHCP, losing track

Seems primed for Pumpkins next

Why in the world did the Doughboys decide to eat cold day old 7/11 hot dogs with condiments already on them?
