I'm in one of the larger u shaped courtyard buildings with about 24 units total, I think Waste Management does our trash pick up. We got somewhat conflicting info from the city, (shocking.) 311 said to call our district office for streets and sans to schedule a pick up and then when we called that office they told is the single family home/2 flat rule, also they said they don't schedule pick ups they just pick it up if it's out there, so 311 basically has 100% incorrect info

gotcha i think bigger buildings contract their own private waste pickup which probably have their own policies. in any case, yeah odds are scrappers will take it if its out there anyway.

i left a shitty 20 year old enormously heavy treadmill in our alley over the weekend (2 of us could barely lift it), and within 30 minutes some dude had it balanced on top of a shopping cart and was wheeling it away. wish i had a picture but it was insane to witness.

I went to riot fest Friday and yesterday. Had tickets for today but me and my friend decided not to go since everyone we wanted to see today cancelled. We were able to get up front for all the bands we wanted to see, but I’m not sure I’d come back. The VIP passes were worth it just for the bathrooms. Rancid, Pumkins, Gogol Bordello, Bosstones were all good. It was weird seeing Gwar play outside at like 230 in the afternoon. I think I had the best time at Andrew W.K. even thought I almost forgot he was playing. It also seemed like all the bands were starting a solid half hour before their scheduled times which was annoying.

The Uber/cab situation was awful. Had scheduled ubers both nights that cancelled at the last minute and we ended up tagging along in other peoples rides after waiting over an hour and a half without any luck in a sketchy area. Was a shit show....I almost posted in here last night looking for a ride.

We did touristy shit today. Saw the bean and went to AIC which was awesome. Any decent bars near downtown? I’m here for on more night.

Someone fell onto the tracks at the Kedzie station and died which stopped service. Guessing that probably didn't help

My bar reco on a Sunday night near downtown would be Rossis. Open til 1 and a decent selection of bottled stuff

so what's the final mexican independence day death toll? i've seen more videos of people getting hit by cars and motorcycles this week than i've probably seen my whole life and i just saw another vid of a kid starting a fight in the south loop and getting his jaw blown off the other night.

aroy is the best northern thai i've tried. the larb and the grilled pork neck salad are incredible. drunken noodles and the other more traditional options are solid also.

Fuck that I ordered Giordanos last week, the craving was unstoppable. It's a rare treat. Malnati's is trash tho as are most versions.
