I've been debating if I'm still gonna go to OM on Friday and catch up with a friend I haven't seen in over a year but it just feels irresponsible at this point
While festivals are cancelling left and right I still haven't seen much movement by the club circuit, and I suspect we won't until this gets really bad

I suspect they are holding off as cancelling events would result in refunds, which is cash they don't have to spare right now if they want to continue to take care of their employees with the drought looming.
Despite this I hope the venues/agencies/etc can work together and do the right thing soon. I feel for the touring bands and service industry - tip yer bartenders, buy some merch online.

I'm supposed to play a sold out Schuba's show on Thursday. Will be interesting to see what attendance is actually like. Also supposed to do Empty Bottle on Saturday. I'm guessing both nights will still feel pretty normal.

the Jewel in my near west suburb is still stocked fully on toilet paper and seems to be humming as usual. Really gonna suck when that changes

id stock up as soon as possible, i have a very strong feeling they're gonna lock the city down in a week and then you're really gonna see runs and shortages on supplies

I live a 10 min walk from the park and I'm not sure I'm gonna attend a game til july at the earliest.
The way I'm seeing sports fans complaining on twitter, we arent just barring large groups from congregating, we're barring large groups of people who arent taking this seriously from getting together

it feels like the last thing that would shut down in any given scenario since essential staff (hospital workers etc) are still gonna need to get to work if nothing else. its pretty mission critical

nah they won't shut those down because a not-insignificant chunk of people are still going to have to go to work daily

I'm going to the grocery store this evening for sure. I'm not really worried about the grocery store because nobody else in the world would voluntarily abide by my absurdly bland diet, so I doubt anyone has touched those foods.

Yo general message: I’m in Edgewater, got plenty of supplies and shit, access to a car and so far relatively healthy. I will likely start working from home soon, if not tomorrow, by next week certainly. if you or someone you know needs help, in whatever kind of situation be it sorta goofy to deadly serious, pm me. I’ll send you my number. In whatever way we can we’ll help. Bear in mind I will be on the clock at work 8-4
