it was like 2-3 months of just complete nonstop bullshit

and then spring came and the lake was still a frozen block of ice

3rd snowiest winter on record, and 3rd coldest. average temp for the entire season was 15 degrees. 26 days below zero lol

winter of '14 was absolutely insane. I remember a day where it was like -14 degrees and -40 wind chill and school wasn't canceled, so I walked like a mile to class and the whole time I thought about how I'm an idiot for choosing to live here. Good times.

yea there wasnt one big snowstorm the way there was in 2011. mostly what happened instead was EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND it snowed like, a foot, and then the ensuing work week would plunge into single digits with hellscape winds off the lake, and then that cycle would continuously repeat to the point that you began to question your sanity

this thing says we got 82" that year lmao

my heat can't handle anything under like 15-20 degrees, the thermostat is probably gonna dip into the high 50s this week.

yeah my front door is the draftiest fucking thing, i've got it covered in all sorts of makeshift patches and strips to try and keep the cold air out. i had some serious ice buildup on the inside of one of my bedroom windows. guess i'll have to hair dry some plastic sheeting over it.
