zocdoc useless, walgreens site says “none within 25 mi of chi for next 5 days” (has said this each day for the past week).

don’t be surprised if you are having a nice al fresco post-vax meal at a restaurant in my neighborhood and i give you a quick elbow to the bridge of your nose

physicians immediate care site at midnight.

helps if you are using a computer that autofill most of your details but i was able to get an appointment twice in three attempts.

My fist job in Chicago 15 years ago, getting to see the dark knight a week before release for the projectionist test screening was probably my moviegoing highlight.

It is, it rocks. It’s a year-round blessing, it’s dope in the winter too. Having a window facing sheridan is kinda stressful though unless you love sirens

Speaking of Rogers park has anyone been to badou, the senegalese restaurant on Howard? Absolutely incredible. Tonight I got delivery jerk chicken with jollof rice and their soul food plate it’s INSANE. The guy who runs it (badou) and his wife are sweethearts too

I honestly miss edgewater. Favorite neighborhood ive lived in.

Sheridan is kind of a drag though, and I've almost been knocked on my ass from the wind. I'd look a block or two west personally and you'll probably find some nice vintage walk ups on some super shady street. Just like jump on the dang lake path whenever you feel like it, bike to work to downtown everyday, best cheap eats around, somehow dense but pin drop quiet at night, amazing well preserved 1920s architecture everywhere but then also weird midcentuey highrises, tons of storefront theaters...just the best. You do get some weird micro climate shit tho. Spring does come two weeks late compared to inland, and never gets as warm as elsewhere which some days is great and others not so much.

On the flip side you MIGHT need AC like..maybe one or two weeks out of the year? The L went through my alley and I still always slept with just the window and ceiling fan because it was so dam pleasant during the summer. I also had an east facing balcony so id keep that door open too and would just get the most incredible cross breeze

Oh the other dope thing was sitting out there and watching the weather patterns roll in from the north unobstructed. Or lightning storms out over the lake with a beer. Or just stare at planes lining up for their approach into ORD directly overhead for an hour or two

The SW side has certain charms, but man...

I watch planes from my stoop descending to midway haha, love that. I live right on the riverside of pilsen so there's freight trains running all the time which I adore the sound of. Love city living. Also made me realize I haven't taken the el or bus in over a year and it seems really foreign and scary now lol, like I gotta stand around with a bunch of strangers? Wtf lol

Your COVID-19 vaccine appointment has been cancelled by you or by the system due to inventory limitations or vaccine shipping delays.

Thanks j&j

New landlord showed me the basement command center from which he monitors an array of security cameras worthy of Stuntman's boss. This, I'm assured, is for the sake of "the womens" who are wont to "get paranoid."

Maybe I'll regret this but for now it's twice my current living space for only $200 more.
