okay i rewatched the herb dean thing and get what y'all are saying now with the fighter looking at him

I've heard big john talk about stoppages before and he said something about having to be in the right spot at the right moment to call it off. like say he was reffing some frantic fight between a couple of 125ers and one knocks the other down and starts hitting him on the ground but by the time the ref gets over there, the downed fighter has slightly recovered and is putting up a tiny bit of fight so they'd let it go on but if the exact same scenario happened and they are right by them, it'll get called right away before the downed fighter has much of a chance to get out of harm's way

borz really took it to joker in a wrestling match, starting to buy into the hype a little. I'll be totally sold on him being a title contender if he beats burns too

saw some rumor of usman vs leon in the first quarter of next year but not the most reputable source. does work though and you can do colby-jorge before it

probably won't see most of today's card, prelims started an hour ago if you didn't know

I don't like Tate's chances, think Ketlen gets a sub finish in the 2nd or 3rd, just too strong for her. Miesha put on a few pounds of muscle but Ketlen's walk around weight is probably still a good 12-15 pounds more. Tate should've tried to fight Ladd instead, would've been an easy route up the rankings

DC gets so many names wrong it's embarrassing. He Called Calderwood 'Wood' about five times before. Not sure I've ever heard him refer to Alexander Volkov as anything other than 'Volkan'.

Tate did better than I thought but bad cornering from Ketlen's team telling her to not grapple, think she would've been able to take Miesha down if gave it a few tries.

Tate's eye is probably really fucked.

Judges got it right

I'm liking Dan Hooker less now, thought he was already too big for 55 and now he wants to go to 45, wtf. this is saying he can't hang with people his own size. It's one thing to randomly make that weight during an off season fight period but to try it during a grueling fight camp... Hopefully this will be a one and done if even that

I hate weight cutting in the first place but he used to fight at 145 and says his cut to 155 isnt big nowadays so he could probably do it I suppose. trying to get out of the 155 shark tank? he's just not good enough to be top 5 there I don't think

it blows my mind how many 155ers walk around well over 180. porier is a big fucker and doesn't chandler's little hgh gut bod clock over 190 outside of camp?

watched olievera vs chandler again and 2 thoughts:

a.) charles really wasn't hurt as badly in rd1 as I thought, and many people think. in trouble but not hurt. his defense worked there and he was actually ok.

b.) dustin has a real threat on his hand here. could easily see Charles submitting him.

very excited for this one

yeah most the 55ers are huge, blame khabib.
and yeah thats what chandler said his weight was when he fought justin.

I also have Olivieria but my prediction might change a few times before fight night

i'm favoring dustin to win but i'm not real confident in that. i like them both a lot so i can't really pick one based on that either.

certainly dustin's biggest test since...khabib. my most confident bet is it won't go all 5 rds.

would kind of rule for oliveira to keep defending though, imagine him finishing islam

apparently that was 700k espn+ only? could see it cracking a mil worldwide. happy for kamaru that he can draw large with the proper foil.

yeah it's domestic. but that's what we judge ppv numbers on. it's a decent number for espn era but not amazing. think they've only had like 5 or 6 crack a mil and conor was on 2 or 3

that'll probably change when we get sterling vs yan 2 though

de lima stopped the fight on his own basically. many other heavyweights would have hammered ben's head after herb backed off. de lima looked at herb like "did I win dude?"

He stopped and looked because Herb kinda grabbed him before they hit the ground and you can see Herb hesitate and then realise he can’t continue once he’s already dived in. I think criticising a ref for getting decisions like that wrong either way is harsh, but it’s better to err on the side of protecting the fighter.

So glad they booked that, I said that's the fight to make after Islam's last fight. Great test for both and should definitely get the winner a title shot

Question is will it be before or after Justin? Lol Ali manages all three
