no way his ego could handle that. fans will be merciless. can't just drop all that extra weight and return to old div. would take a lot of time

i still think the reason he asked for so much money was because he was/is treating this as his final fight and wants to be set

he said not too long ago that he averages around 5 mil a fight, guessing that's an exaggeration or including non ufc money. ppv points wouldn't get him there with his buyrates

he's likely also not down to be an alternate for the upcoming title fight, he likes knowing the opponent and having a full camp for said opponent
