really hoping black panther 2 eschews the very well trodden storyline tropes of the first one because the cast and set design and basically everything else about it was incredible

Ghost and Bill Foster could have been so much better. Great actors, cool design on Ghost, but man... what a waste.

theres really never been a director better suited to the MCU than Taika. He nailed it on every level.

and knowing his work, you know he could take on something a little less overly goofy and give it a lot of heart too.

I hope he sticks around an does more (and also hope he keeps doing his own weird indie shit)

and yeah, hope BP2 has a better script and action.

it was such an amazing experience the first time an then on rewatch, when the wonder of Wakanda isnt so overwhelming, it really shows its seams, esp the action.

Yeah, would have been much better to be the villain in Thor 2, kicks everyone out, then Thor can spend most of 3 trying to stop her or something.

Really like Blanchett and the character design, just not enough time.

I mean it took them 17 movies to arrive at the first genuinely funny character in the MCU with Grandmaster? i've seen the movie like 3 times and I laugh every time at "Sparkles" and "Assberg"

even if you're not tired of Goldblum's shtick, you can't really argue that he's a compelling villain in the same sense as the other top choices

he's a secondary, low-stakes villain, but he's still a villain, and among the most fun to watch

I rewatched Ragnarok on the gym treadmill a few weeks ago and caught myself from laughing out loud at a few of the jokes. I've watched that movie 3-4 times now and it's still consistently funny.

I've found the second GotG more rewatchable than the first, tbh. Ronan suuuuuucks.

Pac-Man makes me chuckle and the final shot is one of the better endings these films have had.
