Yeah Iron Man and Iron Man 2 didn't age very well, but I think I like the first Captain America more now than when I first saw it

Tony Stark was able to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps!

I was... surprised that I actually liked Age of Ultron. I remember having a pretty negative impression of it. yeah, it's an awkward bridge movie, and it's spending too much of its time setting up the next rounds of movies to be great. but ultron is such a fucking weird villain. a pretty good execution of an artificial intelligence that has so much power and knowledge, a fully formed consciousness, but is insane and confused. there's lots of killer robots and humanity hating AIs in science fiction but they're rarely you know, flawed by just being nuts. well at least in the movies. it's usually some error of programming or machinery.

and there's the funny part with arrow guy pointing out that he doesn't make any sense at all.

i love most of Shane Black's movies and was really hyped about Iron Man 3 and ended up hating it, like could barely finish it bad. 99% of the humor fell flat to me. that kid was awful. RDJ was sleepwalking in the role

the only thing i liked about it was the thing all the nerds hated about it, the mandarin british guy gag

I love that they know what a favorite this line/delivery is, and that they brought it back in Far From Home. I nearly lost it in the theater when they flashed back to it.

the delivery at the very end of this scene where he takes the pizza back is probably my favorite part of the movie

Bridges is too nice to be a villain. I mean, it works, he's believable, but I didn't want him to be bad.

IM1 is probably a better movie for that actually.

it's all pretty eh until you get to Winter Soldier really. it's such a huge leap forward in quality, even compared to the avengers movie.

the first iron man is the best iron man by far, the other two never really do anything. like more interesting things happen with the tony stark character in other movies than in his own movie sequels.
love you guys!

actually the “terrorists” were funded and supplied by jeff bridges who was pulling the strings the entire time so no it isn’t racist

there should be more movies with plots similar to a billionaire defense contractor gutting his own company and directing it towards peaceful ventures after almost being killed by his own weapons
