The mac and cheese was good, but wasn't my best effort. A little light on flavor. That's why I added the seasoning mix that went into the Nashville hot chicken oil/sauce to punch it up a bit. The beans fucking ruled, though. Plus I put some Texas toast under the chicken to soak it all up and the bread was legit like as good as anything else. Just did boneless breasts/thighs for the chicken to make it easier to eat.

Oh haha me too.

I'm realizing that the majority of my plants were cherry tomatoes, with just two plum and nothing bigger than that, so that makes sense. Sauce looks great!

Sautéed them in garlic, olive oil + butter, lemon, Nashville hot seasoning salt and pepper.

It's really hard growing shit in NM or I am just terrible at it. Other than peppers, I've killed everything.

Still have a cheaper one. What sets it apart in a way that makes it worth the expense?

We cook rice probably 3x a week in ours at least too, so I will get use out of a new one.

I didn't really have a big problem with the old one, but the Zoji rice is plain better all around. It's more aromatic and the individual grains have better texture. After you fluff it up they get a perfect slight glossiness and clump better to eat with chopsticks. The rice was better reheated the next day too. I've only tried Kokuho Rose so far, curious to see how it does with other types.

Seems like it's all in how it moderates the temperature and time during the final phase of cooking. My understanding is that it's less sensitive to the exact ratio of water to rice too. The build quality is obviously higher that my old one but nothing about the actual design of seems different.

I think that’s the next thing I’m going to get. Have always wanted one, and I make enough rice where doing it on the stove is just kind of a hassle.

This sold me. I think this will be my next bigger kitchen purchase. Thanks for taking the time.

Did you have a rice cooker before it and upgraded or is that your first one.

Rice cookers are the absolute best and everyone should have one.

I just ordered the Zoji Neuro Fuzzy a week ago, and have used it almost every day since. It's been great! The first day I had it I needed to go grocery shopping but I was eager to try it out so I just had a bowl of jasmine rice with furikake, and after a lifetime of making rice on the stove I was blown away (ignore the fork, I also needed to do dishes).
