The game is older than the King James Bible?

I think I might be setting myself up for a don-don about how long it actually took the English speaking world to become literate (or the cultural origins of tag) and if so I welcome it

The game, and the name 'Tick', go back at least to the early seventeenth century, when they first enter the written record in Britain.

The book "Swiss Family Robinson" isn't about a family called Robinson but is about "The Swiss Family (version of) Robinson (Crusoe)"

re: tag

perhaps a variation of Scottish tig "touch, tap" (1721), probably an alteration of Middle English tek "touch, tap"

we called it "tig" growing up (in Ireland)

Such is effectively a contraction of so and much

Edit: false don! Apparently from the German solch for so alike, whereas much is probably Latin

Ok but suck is totally a contraction of suction and fuck.

it is though.

People got tired of saying "suction fuck my dick" and suck was born.

Not really obvious but I saw what was the main character from RPG World in Steven Universe, which was an old webcomic I loved and then looking into it I found that the guy who made RPG World not only works on Steven Universe but has been in a relationship with the creator of it for 10+ years
