i was always taught that the bigger number's roof toppled off because it was taller and therefore subject to stronger winds

as a kid i always thought declaring "trick or treat" was a question to the homeowner, like, "are you going to trick us, e.g., throw a bucket of water in our faces, or give us a treat"

this early misperception elucidates the source of a lot of problems i've had in life

wow so halloween is, in fact, praxis
"trick or treat" = "direct action or concessions"

in Australia, Crazy Horse is a porno cinema chain

edit: ok maybe it's just a Melbourne thing?

:awful: :|
I've only visited the cinema 2 or 3 times some time after i just turned 18. I used the Flinders Lane entrance to avoid being seen going in. Big mistake, if you use that entrance when you enter the cinema you come in next to the screen, so you cop a face full of light and a bunch of people looking at you. I remember sitting in an empty row and watching the film which had the old plumber visiting scenario. When the film stopped everyone moved to the centre of the aisle. I had no idea why. Then the stripper came out, did her stuff and just before the full strip she walked down the middle aisle in just a g-string, that's when i realised why everyone moved to the end of the aisle seats.

this one's kinda dumb, because it's something i guess i always knew, but just never really thought about:

all the wild animals around here (rabbits, squirrels, deer, ect.) are pretty much all the same color because that's the color of the dirt and trees.

of course i knew animals were camouflaged, but i never thought past the obvious ones like tigers and polar bears and stuff.

crazy horse is like an insanely common name for various red light district establishments in the united states and i've never understood why

at this point, i assume it has some relation to the neil young-led band... but still.... i don't know why....

“Once associated with a legendary Native American leader,” she wrote, “’Crazy Horse’ is now a registered trademark for ‘entertainment services, namely, exotic dance performances.’” Its association with strip clubs began with Alain Bernardin, who opened the original Crazy Horse near the Champs-Elysee in Paris in 1951. (Wardlaw acknowledges that no one knows why Bernardin named his club after the Sioux leader.) The first trademark fight erupted only a few years later, when Bernardin filed suit against a London competitor.
