The "Elephant" single will be released in August, with remixes from Canyons and Todd Rundgren (!).

elephant's still probably my favorite thing on here but it just sounds really awesome

not as many sweet riffs as innerspeaker but I can live with that

Surprised you guys aren't holding out for better quality. So, it sounds ok then? Fuck it, I'm in. Was going to wait but whatever.

Drums in "Why Won't They Talk to Me?" are so fucking rad

also I'm in love with the guitar sound in "Nothing That Has Happened So Far..."

"Backwards" sounds like a way more dynamic version of a Beach House song

Really liked the EP and LP they came out with before. Gonna download this tonight and rock out.

this is rad. way more pop in some places ('why won't they talk to me' sounds like new musik + the strokes or somethin). production maybe gets in the way sometimes though. it's melodically gifted enough to stand apart without all the freakout fx (especially the phasey/distorted stuff)

also i wish dude would ease up on the drum fills and just hold a fucking groove once in a while - theres a few spots where this just irked the hell out of me

all of that ^

and yes, for whoever asked, quality is fine on it. i'll trade for the v0 when it drops, but this is most certainly passable

these kids are better than pretty much any band out at the moment. they're creating timeless music, not some bleepy bloop blog shit that will sound dated in a month.
