someone take the phaser effects away from kevin parker and force him to do something that doesn't sound like the sample track from a consumer music sampling software circa 2002.

really like the call and response part of borderline where that new synth bass enters (1:55)

also get some strong jackson vibes in the actual chorus where the guy is harmonizing with him. good stuff

the main part is the boring part

still not understanding the people who are excited for the record hearing these tracks

doesn't it sound cheesy and unimaginative?

the referenced bass part at 1:55 of SNL vid helps a bit for a few seconds but this is trying to be too atmospheric. no cojones.

How is it that he has entered the fart music stage of his career so fast?

lonerism is such a good album too. it's a bummer watching people with high creative ceilings tap out in real time

I think I actually prefer the SNL version of Borderline. still not on the level of his Innerspeaker/Lonerism stuff though.

yeah lonerism might have been as far as he could go in that direction. At the same time this album definitely does seem like a 'safe' choice so far

i can't tell if i've tired of the song somehow since the SNL debut or if the studio version is weaker
