Sometimes I just stand over the sink and eat peanut butter out of the jar with a spoon

That's usually only if I've forgotten to eat lunch or something

Cheat days are incredibly beneficial and I recommend having one once a week from the start

But then I've never decided to lose weight and then actually done it

Cheat days keep up morale, jump start your metabolism, and increase your energy (the last two only last for about 24 hours though)

cheat days are good but i disagree with people who think it has to be super-rigid. like, a saturday pizza is typical, but if you're invited over to someone's house or there is an event(superbowl), shift it down. If you feel like your missing out you won't maintain. Once you're used to healthier foods you won't feel like you are missing out though, because really they taste better usually.

I think your cheat days tend to get healthier as you go too

like my brother and I did a vegetarian challenge where we only allowed ourselves red meat once a month for like a six-month period. the first month or two we were using the red meat day to get steak or like cheesesteaks and hot wings and piles of bacon and shit all in one meal. but after a while it was like, a roast beef sandwich and we were good

this is basically me. the thing is i dont really want to lose any weight...im 145/5'11", so if anything i need some pounds. but any weight i gain is basically just dumb pudgy fat that looks stupid. my main thing is just toning up and getting some endurance back. but im a little paranoid about doing a lot of cardio if that just starts shedding pounds.

If you guys want to get some definition without much work, get one of those doorway chin up bars and just do a few sets throughout the day. I have one and when I stick to it for more than a few weeks, my upper body get notably more defined. Not ripped, but good enough to make my shirt fits better and not look like a popsicle stick when shirtless.

I ate enough pasta for my entire life already because I was always poor

I don't understand eating pasta out of poverty when beans and brown rice are not any more expensive and are way better for you

Oh right, yeah cheat days shouldn't be days where you just hoover everything in sight

Allow yourself to go over your calorie budget by one or two hundred calories, nothing crazy

i dont even really weigh too much its just bad weight in the wrong places, like im 6'4, 200, which seems pretty normal, its just all of it is my stomach/sides and i want to lose some weight in my face because the most depressed i get is not looking back and seeing some well defined body, but seeing when i used to have a much more defined jawline

to be fair rice isn't that great for you either: http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/56/6/1034.full.pdf

it'll add on fat just as well, but i guess not as quickly as noodles/breads will. potatoes are a big poor person food, though, and those things are straight awful for you.

Man what potatoes are fine.

Anyway I guess I'll join in this thread although I suspect all I really need to do is cut my drinking back down to once a week.
