I need a bike too. I'm convinced the only cardio I can do is indoors and preferably sitting down.

What are some good shorts? I need to replace my current ones that are like 7 years old and according to the kids at Hipinion.com, Target cargo shorts are no longer cool.

atomicbombshell wrote:god i need an exercise bike. which one do you have, bread? it's -30 with windchill here today and fuck that.
We ended up getting some $140 manual bike with elliptical style arm thingies to start out with as neither of us has really "exercised" before and we weren't sure if it was something we were actually going to stick with.
Kinda like this guy
http://www.amazon.com/Body-Rider-Fan-El ... B002JBBRRIIt took about an hour to put together and the instructions clearly state that it needs to be tightened once a month, which isn't really a big deal considering the price. My only problem with it, and it's a pretty small one, is the little screen thing that counts your mileage/calories burned/time hasn't yet reset so it thinks we've been riding it for like 40 hours. But aside from that, so far so good.

if it's in the broceries thread you shouldn't even be considering it if you want to lose weight.

Here's my plan
- Whole grain toast and skim milk for breakfast.
- Apple, orange, greek yogurt and almonds throughout the work day.
- Get home and eat like shit because my wife cooks like a Southern grandmother from 1970.

i've never been young and fit so not all of the advice in here is for me
i'm more self-conscious about my paleness than my skinniness though. plus i've been moderately working out a couple times a week and i just last summer decided that i don't give a fuck how short my shorts are
"My foremost duty is to the board," Important Dentist countered. "I
cannot afford to spend that much time researching human sexuality."

i look ok but from last year I've gained and lost 25lbs like 5 times so I'm actually not. Lost probably a quarter inch on my arms and my back no longer has all that much definition. chest always feels congested and i have low energy levels. I'm going back to florida before this summer so I'm gonna go ham on this workout thing.

Chach, skim milk actually makes me want to die.
This is what I do when I'm "eating well." It somehow adds up to like 1400 calories so.
Breakfast:
2% milk in my latte.
2-3 pieces of turkey bacon or regular bacon or sausage
Nutrigrain bar or Eggo waffle
Snack: piece of fruit & Babybel cheese
Lunch:
Salad
Usually leftovers from the night before, like half a chicken breast & a sweet potato or something
Snack: piece of fruit
Dinner:
Salad
3oz meat (whatever the fuck kind of meat I fucking want)
Starch (sweet potato, winter squash, corn, lentils, beans, roast carrots)
1+ cup of vegetables (green beans, asparagus, whatevs)
Multivitamin!
I've been "doing" tea instead of beer
By "doing" I mean I got the idea about two months ago and have been thinking on it ever since
