Just got back from lunch gym

On the one hand: I did it!

On the other hand: I walked 15 minutes at 4.0/4.0 speed/incline then 6 sets of leg extensions

still haven't heard back from the job i was expecting to have an offer for already but the plus side is that the unexpected free time has meant killing it on workouts the last week
perhaps at some point i was an energy vampire

I'm about two weeks away from finishing p90x3 and my weight has plateaued for about 3 weeks now. I haven't been great with my diet, so I suppose it's that, but the first two months I lost 15 pounds (220 -> 205) and I'm a bit bummed that trend didn't continue. I am much stronger and can actually see a pretty big difference, so it's definitely been worthwhile... I just need to stop obsessing on weight and just be happy with all the other changes.

I sold out, took my usual over 400 grams of carbs down to around 200.

Tweaked my eating window times too. More nutrient dense foods.

Less gym time, was overdoing it and eating too much postworkout and i go late at night so that was fucking me up

have any of y’all dealt with runners knee?

I got it from sitting too much at work, I think. Then I really aggravated it on the elliptical.

It has kept me out of the gym for the last week. Driving is the worst.

No sure if it’s worth getting a referral to see a . . . not sure what kind of doctor.

I lay low from the gym for like 4-5 days whenever things seem off, never want to risk fucking it up more

various set schemes might be better to ease into with lighter weight til you get used to it

woke up early sunday to do a HIIT class which was just an absolute wrecker! i guess the regular HIIT girl was out or something so this lady was doing a modified high intensity version of her class so i dunno what the difference is but either way this one was just a grind! had to take just a couple minor breaks but otherwise i was really proud i was able to keep up as much as i did. forgot to stretch after. but i stretched when i got home? hope this counts.

then this morning regular session. started with a super set of resistance band walks with leg lifts (abductors? can i possibly be remembering that right.. is it called.. abductors?) then onto another super set starting with box step ups (but now i have a barbell on my shoulders!) into the sled push on the way up, pull on the way back.. then we introduced a new piece of equipment the sliders! so we did hamstring curls with that, just like on the ball.. but harder! then we went back to super sets. machine chest press with resistance band front shoulder raise. my shoulders are still sore. and then we finished up with mountain climbers but using those sliders again. i dunno these ones almost seemed easy! then stretching and sauna and here i am at work!

really happy with how much time i've put in. i was gonna go saturday but took a nap after work instead and wasn't feeling it when i woke up but otherwise i've gone a bunch!

yeah all better now. Did more curls on Saturday and felt fine, although I only did 4 sets at the same weight.

Couldn't decide between the vegan banh mi or the vegetable flatbread today, so now I'm walking around bloated as fuck

Had a nice brownie yesterday, that was quite big and good and under 300 cals, I'll post about it in the vegan thread

Down 1.5lbs from this time last week.

I got a 50lb set of Powerblocks a year ago. I like them enough. At first I was nervous about this magnet keeping 20-40lbs of weights from crashing into my face, but that didn’t last long. There are some lifts I won’t do due to the square/awkward shape of the weights, but it hasn’t hindered me. Overall they serve their purpose as my main workout equipment.

Although, as someone who already owns 15 and 20 lb dumbbells, I probably could have just bought a set of 25 or 30lb dumbbells for a lot less and had everything I’d need to get in the level of shape I aim for.

I’ve decided I’m just going to do kettlebell work going forward anyways. Will probably relegate the Powerblocks to bench pressing.
