i was doing college radio when that initial news of him going missing came out a few weeks before he died and i treated it like this huge story and dedicated my show to him that day, then when it had come out that he had died i played his songs exclusively for two hours. i haven't thought about it much since but i hope i turned someone out there onto his stuff back then.
