Despite the fact that Pathea are still in the process of paying people, it’s worth noting this Twitter thread by voice actor Elsie Lovelock. It echoes Pathea’s earlier comment about communication being the primary issue: “It was never a case of them holding money hostage and refusing to pay us, it was incredibly poor organisation and terrible communication on their part, something they also say they’re supposedly trying to work on.”

That still seems scummy to me!

does anyone have experience with god eater franchise? is that just like a more middling anime monster hunter or would it be my shit
It's a more middling Monster Hunter for sure. Enjoyable in the form its intended (short hunts on a mobile console) but if MonHun doesn't do it for you God Eater def won't.
THIS IMPACT WILL CONTROL ALL MARGINS

so we finally get a proper look at gameplay for this one and it's still pretty hard to get a sense of whether it'll be any fun to play or merely a showcase for some incredible art direction. combat is rooooough and melee doesn't look fun at all. that game of dodge the pods in the hallways is cool but hopefully they do more with the idea. still it's pre-alpha, it's the studio's first game, and jesus christ i'm really pulling for it
whew motion blur doesnt usually bug me but it's really getting to me in that video for some reason

also jeez yeah that combat. games that aren't vermintide 2 should not have first-person melee combat

motion blur and DOF, and all those other post-processing effects, rarely ever work for me. i'm trying to think of a time i want my games to have them and i'm failing.
usually i just don't really see that stuff, for whatever reason. like bloom can drive me nuts but i can watch whole gameplay videos or play games and afterward see people be like "omg that motion blur :barf:" or "PLEASE tell me the field of view is adjustable" and i just wouldn't even have noticed anything. this video is actually making me nauseous though
looks like some interesting environment design but the art direction and everything else looks totally unappetizing to me

like i can't think of a good example to test the hypothesis but i have to imagine a sub-30 framerate plus temporal AA is a real bad combination because of the ghosting inherent to temporal AA
RE2 psa: it looks like the DLC is available on steam as separate items, so you can just grab the original soundtrack for $3 and skip the rest of the content in the pack
got re2 a day early and I'm really enjoying it so far. it's faithful to the original in all the fan servicey ways but feels very much like its own thing. it feels like the devs are deliberately going against my expectations from the original to misdirect in fun ways too.
been playin some streets of rogue, its really good at what it does. its fun to play as the bartender because you have a quota of cocktails you have to serve to people, which you can make out of anything that gives status effects, and because cigarettes are the easiest to find status item, you end up running around town giving people tobacco tea to drink and skipping away before they realize what you gave them 5 seconds later and get understandably pissed.

I felt sick 10 seconds in to this with that framerate and motion blur. I think it's a deliberate thing to show off games using a controller for a smoother look, but combat will always look 10x worse because of it. Use a mouse a keyboard for your demo.

is it possible to just jump into Fortnite as a casual player?
I cbf getting into meta games, or the building aspects. I just wanna shoot stuff for an hour or two a week and maybe be in the top 70% of players at the end of each match
My listening experience in balanced mode reveals the great depth of EARTH
I got a couple of hours of fun out of it when I downloaded it for free on the Switch. I could get a couple kills per match after one or two matches, and you can like hide and camp if you want to last long. I was actually just thinking of redownloading it the other day

replaying the first Resident Evil HD, and man - what an atmosphere. such good music in the save rooms too looking forward to buying the new one next week or so.
re2 remake's man in black is doing my head in all over again. it's been a while -- i mean it's really been a while since a game's put this much fear in me. it's a fucking great feeling
