i do

i actually downloaded it 6 or so months ago and tried getting it working on a pirate shard but failed. doubt the population would be sufficient anyway. 99 - 01 UO was probably the most fun i've had in a videogame.

it has some good ideas and is fun to play in a 4 stack but it basically sucks a lot and it always feels bad to do any action in it

i'm not in the know on falcom stuff but these are all things i've read in various places, some likely inaccurate

-xseed laid off some staff, some of whom were largely responsible for the cold steel stuff? they may have not been able to do a proper cs3 translation anyway even if they had secured the rights over nisa? still, sad for them that they're basically the reason kiseki is anywhere near what it is in the west but that they'll be relegated to eroge games from now on
-nisa seems to want to do better according to theswweet. hopefully this port turns out well. they seem to be recruiting previous xseed script localizers and trails va's. but i did play ys viii on launch and it was unfathomably bad.
-there's no announced pc port. i cannot play until there is.

listen I'll go out and buy a ps4 to play the reportedly disappointing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III with a terrible English translation and no turbo mode if that what it takes

but

between that and the boring PS1 demake of hotline miami going around, it’s starting to feel like the train o’ aesthetics maybe left some devs behind at the last station

over/under 1 year until “Untitled Unity project” is the look of choice for hipsty indie games
