If this works to some degree the one immediate harm would probably be that The Big 3 would be seeking even more exclusive deals (and not just console-exclusive deals) that will leave dedicated PC gamers back out in the early 2000s cold.

Microsoft's moves after this will be interesting since they were seeming to go the opposite direction by adding a lot more once-Xbox only titles to PC. If Google tries to cut in on that they might turn about face on that in hurry.

other than lack of ps3 controller support, i was pretty impressed by the project stream beta. i don't own any current systems and i almost bought hitman a few weeks ago but then i saw it was like 60gb which would take hella long on steam at 10mb/sec. i'm def interested in the google thingy.

i'd probably make use of this service because it's not practical for me to own a console and lug it around but there are some games that are console-exclusive which i'd like to play. i've traditionally not been a fan of streaming services so i'd have to wait and see how this plays out, and though ac:o looked good, title availability seems to be a big question

also the trailer makes use of like 50 different channels' footage, lol. is that legal just cause they own youtube?

they're also launching a first party game dev studio and that one smells like dead on arrival

I liked his one about how there are too many games and the trend for AAA's to go with games as services is a bad thing

ass creed oddly on my shitty netbook via project stream was pretty great so I may give Stadia a try depending on the pricing/games

also the chromecast support is pretty cool. interested to see how it stacks up to steam link.

ive been playing god eater, a fairly blatant anime monster hunter ripoff, and i've come to the realization that anything mh-like is good for me

maybe i should get back into mhw. i was gonna wait for the iceborne expansion but i haven't done any of the arch-tempered/kulve stuff. either that or 3u

dunno how anyone would find time with Out of the Park Baseball XX coming out tomorrow, but XCOM2 is free all weekend and also 75% off. it rules, and if you like turn-based games, you should go play it a lot.

No talk about Bloodlines 2?

Stoked for Brian Mitsoda's sake that he gets to do this after the almost-good but ultimately mediocre Dead State.
