this is a really vague question but i think you guys might kind of be on the same wavelength as me
any recommendations for a solid fantasy-RPG from like 1990-2005 that i can easily pirate that i can throw myself into for dozens and dozens of hours to avoid depression

thank you all

I haven't played any of the earlier COJ games, but Call of Juarez:Gunslinger is really fun and full of wit. The guns handle nice too. Graphics are vaguely like Borderlands in the old west. It's a straight forward enough linear shooter but the unreliable narrator and satisfying POW POW POW more than make up for its scope with entertainment value.

Suikoden 3 is also really great. Graphics are goofy but you grow to love them.

Civ V is on sale on steam, is it worth it? I played the shit out of IV but I heard this one wasn't as good.

Do you think all these shitty moves will result in an actual loss in market share in the next gen?

PC gamers have managed without trade ins for years, if there was an Xbox store with frequent steam style low low price deals on older stuff I might actually consider buying a console. As it is paying $50 is too much.. I wonder what the economics would mean if they sold more new games but at a say, 25-30 price point to cut away at used game stores.
As much as I dislike paying 50 for a game I tend to dislike big corporations like EB who are essentially making a great proportion of their profits by operating like pawn store shysters.

yeah because there's plentiful pirate versions that are easy to get. Do you think console gamers would care about the used market if they could download torrent versions?
