The UC Berkeley expert I spoke with described your approach to boarding -- posting things without knowing whether they’re true in order to juice engagement -- as “sociopathic.” Do you have a response to that?

oh god, horrible first post.

the good but epoch confusing news is that Chubby Checker is in fact still alive, apparently...

9/4/11, and Dick's 2011 as a whole is still VERY good to listen to

but more importantly, the jam in the 9/4/11 Piper is one I've been looking for for a while!! it's got this instrumental motif that turns vocal that's super common throughout a lot of 3.0, but I've been looking for the most prominent examples of it and perhaps the original example of it... this is certainly one of the former, not confirmed whether it's the latter though... take a listen, lemme know what y'all think

Is that the Roadrunner jam? In my memory it sounds a bit like the start of the woo jam from the Tahoe Tweezer, like when they first pick it up from Page maybe? I'll try and listen tonight and report back.

Agreed on the strength of Dicks 2011. Top ten tree-point-oh Tweezer too, to my taste.

11/29 - Twist > Simple is indeed very good. A unique repetitive Trey-led groove in the latter half of the Twist. He was trying hard to find it and eventually got there. Simple was all type 1 but strong. Taste could have made for a nice trio but Trey mega botched the drop and it was all over after that.

Decent D Sky but set 1 didn’t have much else. There are definitely worse shows

Was in the waiting room for Nassau at 10:45 and there are still 2000+ people ahead of me.

I'm going on Garcia Peoples tour, done with this nonsense.

well that was absolutely infuriating

30 minutes in the queue, finally get in and be presented with an endlessly changing list of tickets that were supposedly available only to have them gone by the time I clicked

i got 3 tickets super up high in the 200s but that's still gonna be good i hope. first show.

i figured it would be better to be in the front 200s vs behind the stage 100s, hope that was a good assumption.

behind the stage can be totally fine, I was with k_uger in the first row behind the stage at MSG and it was more or less THE BEST but obv as you go up higher it loses something

For those playing along at home, a friend of ours encountered Page in Burlington back in 2010 (as one does) and thought the most appropriate remark in the moment was nonchalantly saying “Hey Page. Just got my Manchester ticket.”

I dunno if that translates in post form but we all found it, and still find it, an incredibly funny thing to say.
