I haven’t listened to 11/26/97 in ages, I should bust that out

Did listen to 11/22/95 Free for the first time in probably 10 years and yes that jam is just incredible...

AS IS the new Columbus 99 LivePhish release, although it’s the version of the meatstick where trey says that it can never be just men doing the meatstick, it has to be men and women doing it together... obviously he doesn’t watch the same internet videos as I do

Paid way more than I am willing to admit for Saturday Providence tickets on StubHub, but I'll be there and I'm gonna like it no matter what!

heck yes!!

ALSO: OMFG listened to that 7/23/99 Ghost with headphones on and holy shit... recording quality matters SO MUCH with 99 because there’s just so much going on sonically that doesn’t get fully captured by the auds.. before I die I’ll need to hear full SBD’s of: 9/9, 9/11, 9/12, 9/17, 9/22, 9/29, 10/2, 10/8, 10/9, 10/10, 12/2, 12/3, 12/5, 12/7, 12/8, 12/11, 12/12, 12/15, 12/18, and all of Big Cypress including/especially the soundcheck... is that too much to ask?

hey, I forgot about summer... uhhh add 7/1, 7/7, 7/13, 7/15, Oswego, 7/21, 7/24, and 7/25 to that list...

I hate to admit it but this new Animal Collective live album is sick as hell. The 20 minute Fireworks goes to some great jammy Sonic Youth places.

Hood cut out for me during the most inopportune time but it was still amazing and I can't wait to listen to it 100 times

I'm not well-listened on 3.0 before 2018 but that was the best 3.0 Hood I've heard.

Had a damn good time in Providence. Sat two rows up from the floor, Page side, on Friday. It was just on the other side of the rail so it was a really unique and completely surreal view of things. It was like standing on the actual stage. There were points I felt like I was going to lose my balance, getting blasted by the speaker and the lights from was so intense from that perspective. I was up in the 200s last night and had a great time. The crowd felt very exhausted and grateful and stoned and most accommodating of one another.

I'll have to give these another listen this week to form a more complete opinion, but night one was pretty good. I remember Sand having a nice groove, same with BOTT. Nothing else really stands out in my memory. Last night had such a nice feeling, the first set put me in a really good place. The second set Gin was beautiful and, yes, that Hood was exceptional. Just pure joyful energy.

The Plasma bit was a buzzkill tho.

I thought the Hood was very good but the jam was short, it was more a typical great type II version from 2014-15 (like Magnaball) than a top tier 3.0 Hood like Hollywood Bowl '13 or Great Woods 7/1/14. God it's great though to hear them slaying the 1.0 standards like Hood and Stash and Melt.

standing outside in the freezing rain for 45 mins trying to get in last night sure sucked. getting in and not being able to take 2 steps in the concourse sucked too. bad neighbors no matter where I went too. lotta bummers and the show didn't do much to help me out of it

The apparently conscious decision (given that it's been consistent across the whole year) to try to get to deep grooves as quickly as possible and then not stay there very long is definitely not my cup of tea, but I enjoyed myself the whole show last night. First time I've seen TMWSIY > Avenu and Cool It Down, and other than the Numberline > Santos closer, no complaints as far as song selection goes. Excited to listen back to Tube, ER, Ruby Waves, and 20YL. Would've been ideal if instead of Numberline we'd gotten 10 more minutes of the space jam in the latter of those, but Trey's heart wants what it wants.

Agreed on the concourse being a nightmare though.

I also enjoyed the whole show last night. I was very excited to see TMSIY>Avenu and it seemed like they explored some interesting territory in a bunch of songs. Of course I also had the live concert time distortion thing where I could have sworn all those jams were 50% longer but that's also partially b/c of this tendency Phil mentioned.

most aspects of that venue seemed to be somewhat of a stressful nightmare but I was fortunate to have a great seat and good neighbors. It was also easy to e-stub a friend down and let her have my seat as I danced in the aisle unbothered by ushers

Cities seemed hilarious and awesome to me

I tried to go to the bathroom during Poor Heart but the line sucked and then Tube started so I bailed and went back to my seat, which was a great decision
