I saw flaming lips last year and wayne coyne barely sang, and when he did I could barely hear him (sounded like he was mixed low). his guitarist did most of the vocals.

is this a common thing for him to do at shows in recent years?

hes never had much of a singing voice to begin with but there was a time when that was endearing. but like the rest of his personality its just become toxic and its sad to watch, given how much i used to love their work.
