totally
the video is directed by andrew thomas huang, who worked fairly extensively with bjork on the art and videos for vulnicura, so there’s also that
yeah i was immediately reminded of the gate. guess i know why!

holy shit did she destroy tonight. costume changes, dance troupe, some insane poledancing during “lights on” half the set (8? songs) was new material, which isn’t usually my thing, but a few of them were fucking awesome asap rocky came out for a song, and it fucking RIPPED she’s the best

this record is amazing i thought it was fun enough when it came out but in the context of the album the future feature is probably the best he's sounded since at least like "mask off"

not that high on the future/skrillex track tbh and i usually prefer my rnb banger-adjacent lotta good other standouts on the album though, sad day and fallen alien being mine

Love the Future track and yea, it works tremendously in context. Album is sequenced super well in general, all the singles were great to begin with but seem even better in place here. The non-single standout for me so far is "Thousand Eyes," what an amazing opener, but this rules straight through. So many cool textural things going on with her voice/the vocal processing on all these songs.

surprised by the amount of piano on this ("mirrored heart" for example) feels like a lot of these songs could be played "stripped" - moreso than her previous material oddly reminds me of the LDR record in that way
