i don’t think that’s true though

when algae and cyanobacteria came on the scene, it oxygenated the planet and killed most everything

i don’t think we’re more or less moral than the cyanobacteria, but maybe we could be eventually

yeah, i definitely think it’s important to hold on to a moral compass of some sort, especially because all these kind of reductionist ecological ideas we’re talking about can be really misused too
