i think dylan rieder and i are 1:1 with our music vibe

daniel shimizu's always been on point: the make-up, gang of four and jawbreaker. think he's the only person who's ever skated to jawbreaker too.

marc johnson has some good ones. his part in tiltmode with yo la tengo is an all-timer

menikmati reminds me of summer break in high school. too hot to be outside. smoke some weed in my friends basement and put that on with all the lights out. so good

Rick McCrank threw a very similar shirt to me at a demo when I was a kid

Edit: after absolutely destroying the demo

these are a little floopy and wide so far, even compared to my other cons, but the flick is really excellent. will need another few sessions before i'm used to them. i think i like them though

also it's so fucking humid right now that i went home after about thirty minutes. should have brought more water

i'm also size 12 so i don't think i could've sized down on these. they have the same amount of wiggle room but somehow they just feel way bigger then the cta pro.

day three and these are feeling very nice. just had to break in all the cushioning

yeah i used to think muska was kinda silly with all the tech-outfits and the "muskabeatz!!" stuff but later on i realized how rad he is. such a positive force

To look back on all of this from the perspective of 2020 and know that truly, you can’t fade the muska, is the light that guides me home.

man i haven't even driven past the park in literally months. google says it's still "temporarily closed" but i think this week might be the re-opening? very psyched for that.

I guess a skate crew in my city is organizing a roll for justice type thing next week. That’s gonna be really cool

In general, my skateboard is my best friend during the protests. When the crackdown started last week I was still able to skate to demonstrations in neighborhoods within like 7 miles, with public transit and road closures left and right. Did a couple heavy days of marching and skating, can’t even imagine the total mileage I’ve covered in two weeks. It’s also a sign and low (high?) key weapon lol

My skatepark is open! Might try to get over there at sunset

Gave away my old setup to a neighborhood kid who wants to start learning. Rip it up, little dude

i think nollie fs 180s might be my new favorite trick. i'd love to do one over a picnic table like dill or something but i don't have those ups unfortunately.

skatepark is now open to ten people maximum, was just there for an hour or so with some #scooterteens and their mom. one of them asked me to do a tre flip up the step up and i did it in two tries, surprisingly. they were psyched

i did feel a little cocky after that. also one of them asked me if i scootered and i said "nah, never" and then i asked if he skated and he said he did a little but it was too hard. i told him he should try doing it again. get on the right path zoomers.

Headed out to the skatepark for first time in months and literally started downpouring the moment I arrived. Had to retreat under a tree to wait it out. Then run home soaking wet. :x

Has anyone tried this new Session computer game? It’s like a more realistic version of the Skate series (your feet correspond to different joysticks so a little more conplicated. Good fun though!
