I feel like dirty white shoes are the most worn-in, chilled out look you could possibly pull. Personally, I swear by it.

in the mid two thousands there was barely anybody skating white shoes. i remember this one kid would buy the same pair of white adio shoes for like seven months and everybody would give him shit because adios looked like shit (for the most part), especially dirt stained ones.

adio was a funny company. rest in peace

Been skating the last two days for the first time in like ten years. It’s so nice to just push around and skate down empty suburban blocks in Brooklyn.

I got a pair of white Adidas Tyshawn’s

They’re def not gonna stay white very long but they’re comfy and look ok all scuffed

I was trying to only skate in vegan shoes for a while, but I couldn't find a good hightop that would protect my feet so I got these puppies

and they feel so nice, it's like a fortress on each of my feet.

I watched the Ty Evans video Flat Earth last night. It's pretty cool. I missed like the last decade of videos and it's been cool catching up

I rented i :/

I listened to his nine club episode that came out at that time and he talked about paying for the whole video himself so I figured might as well

i watched him skate for like forty minutes at tompkins once, he seemed ego-free but i was probably about 19 at the time and was like "holy fuck, that's jake johnson", we kinda skated beside each other for a minute. and then i just sat down and watched him do one of the most perfect kickflip noseblunts ever

that definitely sealed his goat-of-this-gen status in my mind. any interview i've seen with him is really good and intelligent too, it seems like he's purely mental about everything he's doing.

he seems totally chill and 100% unpretentious based on his interviews and our many brief interactions. the whole gx crew actually used to come in while they were filming in nyc. they were all cool but brian delatorre was also always ridiculously nice. they even hooked me up with a hat

it was funny though, jake never had a skateboard and was always in sandals just "vibing"

that's pretty funny. i actually smoked weed once with that dude brengar (at the same spot) who filmed a lot of his part in mindfield. an interesting character
