Been in Houston for work the last few days. Really enjoyed drinking a ton of TX beer. Also had a pariah 4xdh envie pale ale that was one of best hoppy beers I've had in a while. Coming home with as much live oak as I can fit in my suitcase.
i’ve been kinda beered out lately but picked up a 4 pack of lagunitas willettized coffee stout today on a whim and holy moly that is a good beer esp at that price point. i swear i’ve had this beer in the past and straight up disliked it, but this years is awesome

Nice. I passed on it last year cuz they switched to bombers, glad it’s back in 12oz
Woodshop 13 got postponed (canceled) due to ABC stopping it for not technically being a private even since tickets were sold through Brown Paper Bag. I'm insanely bummed but I'm still heading down to SD tomorrow for a private bottle share at Dr. Bill's, which I'm pretty excited about. Also I'll get to try Howlin' Rays for the first time. Should be a good weekend!

every year has been great (going back to when it was High Westified) IMO
New Belgium is getting bought out by Kirin, pending a vote from employee-owners. Not hugely surprising since pretty much every other brewery operating at their scale has done something similar, but it would’ve been nice to see an independent, employee-owned brewery succeed as a national brand.
super interesting because in the footnotes it also mentions that they will own magnolia in SF which was part owned by dick cantwell who flipped his shit when AB bought elysian and he left the company only to start that brewery there because he has a non compete in WA. and now another multi-national got his girlfriend a sweet deal and he's getting bought out again.

Was in Tulsa last weekend and hit heirloom artisan ales. I wasn't blown away by any of the lagers I had and was str8 up disappointed with their bier de garde. However the saison I had was incredible and I took home some bottles of their pale lager with Brett and boyyyeeeeee is that jawn amazing.
