Can anyone recommend a few coffeeish beers? I really love Milk Stouts like the Lancaster but always interested in new stuff. Would also recommend Schneider Aventinus to any one interested in a stronger beer (8%).

i think i'm gonna go to the homebrew store and buy some ingredients this week. what styles of beer should i brew? i have enough equipment for three simultaneous batches but i think i'm only gonna do two at the moment.

picked up a tommyknocker sampler last night...looks interesting. tried the alpine glacier lager...decent but nothing special. pretty standard lager with a bit of a hops presence. really intrigued by the maple nut brown and the doppelbock.

I took a case of it to Yosemite this summer, figuring any beer there would sport a ridiculous markup and that if it got warm it was probably the most drinkable beer at Costco.

Then we went to the valley stores and they all had plenty of Torpedo and Kellerweis for $8/six and I felt sort of foolish.
