Three Floyds' Broo Doo, made with fresh, not dried, hops. So good.

Image

This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love. October release.

Sweet clean caramel flavour with a hoppy finish. Nice pale ale.

Local brewery, think you can find this in the states. I know I saw some in SF.

Have you had the St. Ambroise apricot? It's almost as good as it smells.

I got it at Sam's in Chicago. They have it on tap at the Three Floyds' Brewery in Munster, Indiana. I assume it can be found at good beer stores, particularly in the Midwest.

I've heard that Kona/Macadamia collaboration is a winner. I had the black lager in the same series and wasn't blown away, especially considering the price/size.

These were $7 per 12oz bottle. It's really good, but definitely not good enough to justify the price, when you can get 22oz Stones of equal or beter quality for $5-$6.
