3 years on the 21st, also 1.5 years sober, so after the 22nd, which will be my 32nd birthday, i will have lived more than half my time here on the wagon, so it's a pretty nice anniversary this year. dont see leaving at any point, but who knows.
Nice day if it doesn't rain.

I'll be 16 years I guess. but to be clear I cut back upstate for a bit between there. I know it's weird but I watch King of the Hill for the hilarity (comfort) of boring civilian life. I want trees

13.5. I’ve got a few best friends that moved back to the Midwest a few years ago after spending like 8 here (they got houses and kids now), but I’ll prob be here either for good or until something comes up that I can’t conceive of rt now.

seems like a good place to get close to death but i think you need a nice wide open space to actually die in

Yeah I hit 17 years last summer and then I was married and we had enough money to buy but not really in nyc proper and until last week the L was going to shut down so we hightailed it (barely) out.

born and raised folks. id like to leave but we just had a kid and both sets of parents are within 45 minutes.

on another note, i went to hunan slurp last night. was good(ish) but doubt ill be back. lots of bones...in everything. which is fine but a real pain.

byob was nice. brought about 30 beers between 5 friends. dinner was like $40 each when you split everything.

Coming up on 8 years. Can’t imagine being much elsewhere but it’s getting pretty tough with a kiddo.

Hate throwing money on rent, but it’s the way we can live comfortably and where we want to right now. Buying is such a dark disappointment every time i explore it.

Otherwise would move out west, but never gonna fly with my wife whose parents are east coast.

I think we will for sure be out of NYC proper by the time we have any true schooling concerns. Sounds like an utter nightmare. By that time I assume I’ll just be down for full burb experience.

When I’m spending $7 on a 6-inch veggie you know it’s time to find a new spot.

the dumbest thing you can do is buy a place with all of the oversupply in nyc and 3.7% unemployment.
