Would it be better to stay in Brooklyn or something and take the train in each day rather than staying in the city?

i always feel bad for european tourists that end up staying in long island city because they were enamored with slightly lower prices.

Just stay in Bushwick, cheaper hotels, maybe 25 minutes into the city if not rush hour

Took today off and went to governor's island, drank 3 resins and feel asleep in a hammock. Woke up and it was me and topless women only

RL is on Broadway, the front rooms are truly 8 feet away from the J train track. I have no idea why they put a hotel there unless they soundproofed the hell out of it

i am playing my first show in 17 months monday (https://wharfer.bandcamp.com/) if anyone is into sparse spooky folk tunes. will also be last before i leave NYC and this thread forever.

it's in the downstairs piano lounge @ rockwood music hall (near F + J + M in lower east side), 8:30pm set

it's $10 but if you really want to go and are cheap i can add you to a list ;-)

It's loud depending on what side you're on but I think that's how they had in 100 years ago

It doesn't run too often overnight anyway

yea it was cool... very different than I expected

his band was tight (esp the guitarist & drummer) and the tension between jandek and the woman vocalist trading off and watching each other perform was kinky

I thought the juxtaposition of the singers was cool. it was like watching two completely different shows

does anyone know the name of the other vocalist? I dug her childlike/late 90s emo stylings. there was a humor about her delivery which was refreshing next to jandek’s bill callahan cum david yow vox
