I just tipped $20, but as had been mentioned, I'm not sure the assumption that delivery people get paid even if no one orders really holds up.

It's kind of unethical to NOT make people ride their bike in the rain for your sweet, generous tip

When you really think about it

I heard delivery ppl made a killing tonight with all the tips from ppl and restaurants backed up with 100 min wait times for orders and frankly that’s fucked and unethical and I’d rather they sit there with no work and no tip money cause then they’ll be dry and happy

i used to deliver it was always the other drivers / riders trying to schedule their shifts for storms / bad weather. man i would put on such a show, i'd make sure to ring doorbells w/ my coat off and chattering teeth.

i feel like i'm giving away industry secrets here

Is it unethical if the delivery guy drives and the roads are clear?

Also if you order delivery and do not have a blanket and a cup of hot cocoa ready for your delivery driver you are a huge piece of shit and deserve to die.

two people, lost in the expanse of existence, looking for harmony amidst the travails of our own natural constraints, hunting - desperately - for a connection that makes us feel, but seemingly always eludes us

kofta? panini? panang? yes, all of that. but more ... exhilaration ... passion ... love?

postmates pays $6/hr while you wait. nobodys making a killing off waiting 100 min for a delivery. no more than 25% of my "customers" tip and when they do it's often less than a dollar. it's pretty amazing really. obv could be slightly different in nyc but in general most of these delivery drivers are struggling to hit minimum wage
