born and raised folks. id like to leave but we just had a kid and both sets of parents are within 45 minutes.

on another note, i went to hunan slurp last night. was good(ish) but doubt ill be back. lots of bones...in everything. which is fine but a real pain.

byob was nice. brought about 30 beers between 5 friends. dinner was like $40 each when you split everything.

Coming up on 8 years. Can’t imagine being much elsewhere but it’s getting pretty tough with a kiddo.

Hate throwing money on rent, but it’s the way we can live comfortably and where we want to right now. Buying is such a dark disappointment every time i explore it.

Otherwise would move out west, but never gonna fly with my wife whose parents are east coast.

I think we will for sure be out of NYC proper by the time we have any true schooling concerns. Sounds like an utter nightmare. By that time I assume I’ll just be down for full burb experience.

When I’m spending $7 on a 6-inch veggie you know it’s time to find a new spot.

the dumbest thing you can do is buy a place with all of the oversupply in nyc and 3.7% unemployment.

it's a dirty, depressing pit. every time i go home to scandinavia for a couple of weeks i come back hating the city and i get depressed about living here for a while. i don't think i love this place but i do think i would spend the rest of my life missing it if i leave.

10 years this fall. I’ve lived here my whole adult life. Kinda coasting right now but I should probably figure out what I wanna do with my life at some point.

My whole family is from the city and I felt like I was being gaslit hearing the story of how they were enamored with Florida on vacation and then moved here

But I guess NYC in the 60s and 70s was... Different

NKIL

Jon Glaser show had me almost passing out from laughter. apologies to any boarders in the crowd but the Myers Briggs question came from my group. I was happy with his response nonetheless.

Yeah. Dreamedian spoke to me the most.

I’m very ignorant about this band, but I was informed the members of yo la tengo were standing right next to me and the other boarder I went with.
