I’ve been going at it hard lately, I pretty much will be going every single day until summer, so you’ve got the opportunity. No rest days. One woman at the front remembers my name now it’s pretty cool. This morning we had an engaging discussion on The Cold Weather so our rapport is just thriving

Lightfoot - Have lunch at Sunrise Mart. They have bentos and rice balls and sushi and coffee in a can and ample seating. You can get single cans of beer at grocery store prices, too.

I hear ya though I do like all the scaffolding though because I inevitably always forget an umbrella.

It does make me wonder if there ever will be a brief moment in time when they’ll say “welp, we are done constructing New York. Time to throw down the paint brush and call it a wrap”

Wow a little kid just told me “I like your sweater” as we passed on the sidewalk. What a just wonderful respectable and prodigious young man. My faith in the next generation is restored. Especially after a month or so ago when I passed an elementary school in dumbo and a kid yelled at me “your blue hair is stupid” and another kid asked if I was in Ready Player One

thomas went to tommy bahama's 5 days ago and had this to say:

I have to say that this is a very cool place with very creative drinks and food choices. Very well made with professional service. A NYC must go to.

head tilted up, no desire to be there but no desire to be anywhere else. another $14 cocktail, bartender. yes, i sure do feel transported.

Happy hour is when they flick scallops into your mouth like little fleshy hockey pucks

just started working over there and it is a nightmare

i work by there as well. i do mealpal...actually a pretty big fan of it.

my go to lunch options:
-roti - sort of like middle eastern fast casual. you can get unlimited toppings...usually tops out at $10 a lunch.
-sweetgreen on 42nd off 6th is mobbed with office chicks but im a sweetgreen fan.
-in vanderbilt market, bobwhite has killer fried chicken sandwiches, mimi's is fast casual white people middle eastern bowls but theyre on mealpal so its like $6.25 a meal, good stock is on mealpal...i get soups from them...pretty good.
-hokey pokey is on 50th and 3rd ave...theyre on mealpal and surprisingly solid poke for $6.25
-sons of thunder has the best poke and im not even a poke fan...on 39th off third?
-sakagura is a great place for a sit down lunch on 43rd.
-yasuda for upscale lunch sushi...but thats like $50-75.
-mala project on 46th is like $15-18/pp...fucking rules.
